Can anyone tell me the easiest way to find an age or date of death? I have looked on LDS site and none of me rellies are on there for a death. There are several on BMD but they dont all give ages just dates and no spouse or parent name. Do you have to order a certificate and hope for the best? Could be costly. Please help Marie

Marie There are very few deaths in the LDS site. On the GRO indexes, ages aren't given for the early years of registration. I think it was around the 1860's that they started putting the age on. You will have to buy the certificate to get the rest of the details. The only other way is to look in the burials in the parish registers, but that won't always give you the parents names. Will give age though. Margaret
