I have a Child's Ration Book, issued by the Ministry of Food Office in Alderley Edge, Cheshire. The child's name is Ronald Crompton Peatfield - the Parent or Guardian is Mabel B. Peatfield. The address of the butcher is Rudgwick which is in West Sussex. What I can't work out is why it was found amongst my mother's papers when she died? Mother was born and lived in East Sussex all her life. Do the names ring any bells with anybody out there?
