To carol,Sorry if didnt explain properly(iam still on a high after finding my rellies)I knew the area ,found the schools and tried a.b,c. luckily I found the right one on g.It did take a long time and a lot of patience but I was getting desperate and have been well rewarded for my efforts.I also knew the area was quite small so it was a lot easier than searching a big town. I dont know if they have changed it since I last looked, but with friends site, you cant search on just a surname. If you have no idea of the name of your cousin or other relative, how do you find them.

I have conntacted many people on GC with no luck and lately with no replies.I thought I would try Friends reunited and Eureka with one e-mail I was put in contact with a very nice second cousin who has traced our tree to the 1600s .He has photos and stories and has written a book for the family.Iam so thrilled to find my old and new relations and we are going to meet up at christmas.I went into friends and found schools in the area I was researching looked for my names and i e-mailed my cousins neice who put us in touch , He had been looking for my grandfathers decendants for years
