Another sort of brickwall. Trying to enlist the help on this board. I am looking for my gggrandfather Robert Ferguson born c1841 and his son Robert c 1867. I cannot find their deaths. There is a Robert (15) in the 1881 census but can't be sure it is him. I am looking for their deaths. Robert snr died sometime after 1874 and is not on 1881 census. Neither of them is on 1891. I have searched the GRO, Ancestory etc. I am wondering if I have overlooked something or are there any suggestions as to what to do next? Hope that is clear enough. Thanks John

Hello I have missed previous parts of the saga so sorry if you have answered this before, what part of the country were these people from? If you are searching a death and it isn't yet on FreeBMD then yould have to either pay to view 1837 on line or book a space at your local Mormon research centre and look for free at the Registrations kept there on fiche (assuming you are near to one). I had to search about 8 years of 1837 online to find one of my 'lot', I know there's a cost, but it was worth it to me. Have you got any certificates for these people? Wives names? Other children's names? Good luck A

Thanks for responding, but as I stated I have looked through the GROs in the library. There is no trace at alll hence my appeal for many eyes. I think they died in Yorkshire but even a country wide search fails to find them I find it strange that 2 can go missing from the same family. I can't find any info re Robert Snr birth (Middlesex) or marriage so I am trying to back track. But even that is proving difficult. John

Crista, Thats all the info I have. I have asked for look ups on London 1851 and 1861 to try find more with no luck. I can't believe I can't find them as it is after 1875 but I can't. One piece of info might just help. I thought a few more pairs of eyes might help, that is all. Robert snr and his wife Mary Ann must have died sometime after 1874 (the last child) as their children end up in the workhouse in Bradford. So why can't I find the death of the 2 Roberts. I may have found the wife's death Mary Ann but it is in Sheffied. I am waiting for the cert. on that. Thanks' John
