Does anyone know of a good website which would give details of the U.S. census? I am prepared to subscribe if necessary. Lilian

Hi Lillian. Go to www.familysearch.com it only gives 1880 census but i think there are a lot of other functions on this site that will help you. All the best Philip Palmer Apache junction Arizona Usa formally of Birmingham uk.

A good site to subscribe to for US Census is www.ancestry.com. The initial searches cost you nothing at the site but to view the actual information you must subscribe. (Census year 1880 is free without the subscription.) I do have a subscription to the site and I have found it invaluable in my research. The site also offers a FREE 14 day trial to see if you like it. I used the 14 day trial offer several times prior to actually subscribing and had no problems with cancelling....which you must do by the 14th day in order to not have them charge you.
