Can't find a death.

I have a husband and wife missing from death records. John and Louisa Proctor (born 1831 and 1837 resp) were living in Worcester on the 1901 with a daughter. So that would make them 70 and 64? I have checked death records up to 1939 and found no trace even in other areas. Regards Helena

I also have been unable to find the death of my g grandmother in 1892. I know exactly when she died because I have her will. I was only searching the GRO index for interest but she is definately not there under any spelling!! Presumably she had a certificate and its just been missed of the index, so if it can happen once ...etc. Anne

Naomi, where are you checking - if you are looking on Free BMD remember that their coverage is very patchy after 1900. You will need to search the indexes of B/M/D at a main library, the FRC or a Mormon Family History Centre to be sure you have checked thoroughly. Maz. XX

Hi Margaret, I've looked to see whether she re-married but I can't find any records of her remarrying. I've checked under her original maiden name and married name. Naomi

Naomi If she did marry again, you may have missed that. I would double check. Then her death would be in her new married name. Margaret

My Great Grandmother (Eliza Goodyear) was born in clekenwell in 1861. She married my Great Grandfather in St. Saviour, Southwark in 1888 and became Eilza Poynts (Poyntz) spelling changes depending on what information you look at. However I can't find any record of her death. She appears on the 1901 census but I can't find any record of her anywhere else. I've checked lots different spelling variations and whether she may have re-married at some point. I've looked on ancestry website civil registration records right upto 1961! Any ideas?
