I agree with you Russell the book form is brilliant, I have had to buy thicker folders now as I have increased my family. I am like you Mary I print off everything for a start to see what I like, it is good to see the preview also, before you start printing out your information. Sue..................

To Jeanie Atkins PAF is Personal Ancestry File a very good free software program which is produced by Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints and available from their website.

Been going great guns Janet thanks to your help and this site. Icontacted two relatives from here and we've swapped info. I'm a bit stuck pre-1800 on a lot of folk and they're not on the IGI but I never dreamed I'd get any further than my grandmother three years ago ! So keep up the good work ! Mary

I have to say I went a bit mad and printed them all then sorted them out into folders sectioning off the different sides of the family. That way I have all the info about my fathers side separate and mothers as well. likewise their respective parents. Complete with photographs it makes interesting reading.and I continued it through to present day adding a bit each year. Is that any help ? Mary Brooke

Hello Jayne, Probably the best two are in 'Books' after you have selected print. The first one is ahnentafel(ancestry) where if you select your name as the starting person, it will give you a report of your direct ancestors, generation by generation. The second is modified register(descendancy) where you select the earliest known ancestor as the starting person and it will produce a report of his/her descendants, generation by generation. I hope that this helps Russell

Which is the best report to print from paf that will show all the descendants of as far back as my gggg grandfather and be easy to understand by someone that doesn't use paf. Does that make sense? Have seen reports printed by another program that were easy to read. Mine look complicated even to me! regards Jayne
