I am using the PAF from "Family Search" I have just gone to it to find all my names are together now in order i.e. all my Smiths are together all my other surnames are together, how did that happen, it is a lot easier, but can someone tell me what I pressed to do that, it is a mystery, as before I had to trawl through all the names to find the one I wanted... Hello On the individual screen as opposed to family or pedigree, all you have to do is click on the top of a column and it orders it by name or RIN Russell

Ann, PAF stands for Personal Ancestral File ( downloaded FREE from Latter Day Saints Family Search) Its very good for building your family tree. June,Nr.Preston.Lancs

If you click on the 'binoculars' it allows you to list your names alphabetically or by RIN. The RIN is the number allocated to each relative as you add them to your tree. You are probably number 1, your parents 2 and 3, etc.

Thanks everyone. I have been using PAF for some time and had no idea how to organise names. What a wonderful site this is. Jean.
