I have found my mothers birth entry on 1837.... but the entry on mothers maiden name reads her mothers maiden name and her fathers surname. Would this mean her parents were not married when they had her? I know its a little confusing but Im hoping someone can understand what I mean. Sarah

Are you talking about on the 1837 itself, and is you Mother's date of birth after 1912? If so it will show the mothers maiden name as well as father's surname but doesn't mean theyw ere not married. Ann Glos
