Hi John; I was following a lead that possibly my Walker family originated in Barnsley, but so far no such luck. Teresa |

I stumbled upon this site for the Barnsley Family History Society. They have a page of unwanted certificates listing detail of BMD's that have been donated to the society by their members. They charge one pound for a copy of a certificate. It might be worth checking out if you have ties to Yorks. http://www(.)barnsleyfhs(.)co(.)uk/certificates(.)htm As always, remove the brackets.
