Except for a brief trip to Scotland around 1820, (and the occassion birth & marriage in Guisborough) my Heslops were firmly rooted in Darlington, County Durham between 1770 and 1900. No Sunderland link yet, but I suppose after 1900 they could have gone anywhere. What dates are you looking at? Paul

Paul, Do any of your Heslop's come from Sunderland? I am researching them on behalf of someone overseas, but on the LDS there is a Melinda Heslop, who has been researching them. Don't know if this info is of any help, but... Kim

Hi, could someone please look up this family on the 1891 Census. Francis Heslop (bn 1829 Darlington) - Head - Tailor; Mary Heslop (bn 1834 Guisborough) - Wife; Mary Page Heslop (bn 1860 Durham, Co Durham) - Dau Martha M Heslop (bn 1862 Darlington) - Dau; John William Heslop (bn 1869 Darlington) - Son; Frances Heslop (bn 1872 Darlington) - Dau. On the 1881 Census they were living at 12 Tubwell Row, Darlington. Mary and Martha are likely to be married by 1891. Thnx Paul
