Hi there, It may have been me too. Although I've found that mine seem to have come first from London before migrating to Kent. However, I'm sure there are a few long lost relations still in Kent that I'd like to find. Many thanks Julie.

I wonder if it was you, Jan? There is also a village near Benenden called Standen any chance of a mis-spelling?

I was looking for Sarah Maria Standing, born Sydenham. Perhaps that is what you remembered. If so, thanks for your help. Jan.

I've found some info on a Standen family and remember seeing that someone was looking for the name. Have you tried this site? http(:)//freepages(.)genealogy(.)rootsweb(.)com(/)~shebra(/)standen-family(.)htm Just remove the brackets if it's any use. There are also lots of Standens all through the 1840 Pigots directory
