Margaret - your Archaic Medical Terms site is brilliant. I'm a medical secretary - but a couple of the death certificates that I have had me foxed! However, I now know exactly what my rellies died of! Thanks! |

Pulmonary means it is to do with the lungs, so I would guess that is what the second part refers to. Not sure about the first bit. |

I have a death cert with cause of death in the usual old style writing I have what looks like PHTHISIS PULM---LIS. Duration of disease 1year. Age 16 If anyon could shed any light on this i would be very grateful Shona |
