Thanks Everyone! I did contact someone about a rellie with a different surname. The ones I was looking at must also be in their tree! Gillian

Hi Gillian This means you have emailed this person. This means you could have sent them mail regarding someone in their tree. Or I believe it may mean you have sent another GC member an email about some unrelated topic. If you haven't contacted them regarding their tree and don't wish to to have them as a contact, go to 'Your Contacts' and delete them. This will make the red contacted go away. Hope this makes sense. Gillian It means that you have already contacted the person who put the new names on Genes Connected. When you contact somebody the word Contacted will appear against any names they have put on the site - even if those names are put on after you contacted them (if you follow what I mean). David

As far as I know, someone will have contacted them , to see if they are connected to their tree

Hello Everyone, I was looking at my Name Summary and at new names added. This time I saw something strange I've not seen before. After each name was written (contacted) in red. Have not seen this before. What does it mean??? Does anyone know? Thanks, Gillian
