As far as I know, all the military records are at the PRO in Kew. You could check their website, and also do a search on the regiment name, there are loads of military history sites. Maz. Xx

Does anyone know if there are any websites where you can trace your ancestors Armed Forces career. I have a ID number (?) for one of my relatives. We know that he joined the RAF just before WW2, transferred to the Artillery and then to the Catering Corps. Apparently he turned down medals and I was wondering if there was any way of finding out if he did actually do this, or if it was just a family story. Any advice would be appreciated Kay
