I think they contain all COE churches within a parish. There was not a vicar for each church, just one for each parish who would be resposible for the records of that parish. Other beliefs (eg. roman Catholic) are seperate. But beware the original records are not complete so dont expect too much. Many of them are what's on IGI. Bob |

I am just browsing through one of the genealogy magazines and have come across an advert for parish records on CD. I am interested in possibly buying the Hampshire one. Does anyone know if the discs cover ALL churches in each parish eg for Portsmouth? Many thanks in advance, Julie |
