Eleanor and Tony I am so happy for you both especially Tony, I hope everything goes well as I'm sure it will. I know how you feel even though I knew where my family were, I was brought up by an Aunt --long story, and after a gap of 25 year's we got back to together and my poor hubby doesn't know what hit him, all this new family which I'm sure will be the same for you. Thinking of you Ann,Darlington

As some of you will know, we have been trying to trace my husbands birth family, particularly his mother for a while now. He was put in care 48 years ago and had never spoken to a blood relative until very recently. I just had to let you know that after finding his half sister on GC a few months ago (which was quite a shock to her system as she didn't know about him!!) my husband Tony received a phone call from his mum last night!!!! They talked for about 40 minutes and from what I hear (I was out!!) it was a lovely conversation and they are going to talk again in a few days and hopefully meet soon!!! Tony is still off work with his broken leg so has the luxury of being able to absorb this fantastic event at home!!! Thought you'd like to know!!! Thanks to everyone who has helped with our searching to date. Perhaps now we can start to delve further into the past!! Love Eleanor and Tony xxx
