Tips on adoption

Hi Carol If you have the adoption number,you could look at the family records centre in Islington,they have books which will give you a volume number and reference number so that you can send for the full certificate. If you need any more tips, send me an e-mail. Sue

Could do with some help here myself - my first husband was adopted but he died in 1974. I've tried but it seems I'm not allowed to apply through the normal channels to discover who his blood family were so my sons have a gap in their family history. Any help I'm grateful for. I've got his adoption certificate. Mary Brooke

My hubby wants to do his f.tree now, or should i say he wants me to do it for me, problem is his mum was adopted , we have the adoption no. and the no. of entry, her first name and the area she was born in, any tips would be a help.
