does anyone have any ideas about where to look for info on abandoned babies. my ggg grandfather was left near hampton court and was given the name william ewell(1836/37) am i ever likely to find out where he came from or what his real name was or do i have to conceed defeat? karen |

The only suggestion I have is for you to look at old newspapers on the off chance there was a newspaper article on it. But the chances are small, you could try and find the orphanage he was taken to and see if any records survive. George |
