....records would be kept at a main local library that would help in a search for old relatives in the local area. We just need a few pointers before heading into town tomorrow. Thanks for any help.

In our local library all censuses and old newspapers are kept on micro fiche and can be viewed on screen and a printout made if required. Don't know if all librarys are the same but imagine they are. I started my search in library and made a lot of discoveries. Andy

My local library has some parish records, which have been transcribed by the local Family History Society. They don't have many, but I found quite a few christenings, marriages and deaths there. Maggy, West Yorkshire

Yeovil library has all the available census' and some local parish records. Think it just depends
