You didn't say where you got the details for ordering the certificate. Basically, the GRO reference is a volume and page number used in centrally recording the details. Take a look at FreeBMD (if you haven't already) and you will see examples of GRO references. Don't confuse local references with GRO though, they are different. Paul

I want to order my first certificate online and am wondering what the GRO ref is.....where would I find it and could someone give me an example of what it looks like please? Thanks a bunch Aileen
