Not receiving email via GC, in contacts box only

I looked in my contacts box yesterday and found an email from another member about a look up I had requested. This didn't appear in my inbox. Why? I sent a return mail to the other member to say thank you,(via GC). I didn't get a confirmation of this from GC. I contacted GC to ask them what the problem was. They blame it on the junk filter for my email being set too high. Nonsense. If that was the case, then I would never receive mail from fellow GC members, which I do. I wouldn't receive the GC newsletter, which I do. I am not the first person to complain about this. I remember Crista in the US putting a thread on here about the same thing some time ago. GC don't seem to want to admit that they have a problem. Margaret |

Janet and anyone else who is having the same problem. Please email GC direct about this as according to them it is the fault of my inbox, nothing to do with them. It's very strange that lots of us have the same problem. How come I receive some mail via GC but not all? Margaret |

At the risk of sounding daft, would it be completely obvious if I had received a message and it appeared in my contacts rather than in my in box. I have sent out so many emails to other members and never got a reply. When I look in my contacts there doesn't seem to be anything that jumps out at me. Jeanette |

Hello Margaret, I seem to be having a problem with emails also, my problem is that when I send emails to people directly for information, they reply and I just reply back to say thankyou, by just replying on their email no, and I get an email back from the postmaster to say unable to be sent. I wonder if it is happening to other people, I noticed the other day that there was a thread to say people don't reply back to say thankyou, well that is proberly why they are not getting through. Regards Sue............. |

Hi Margaret, I have a similar problem with some e-mails arriving in my in-box and some arrive in my Junk Mailbox. I just always check my Junk mail before deleting anything. I have recently set up a mail filter that any e-mail with the heading Genes Connected goes staight into its own folder. I haven't had one go into the junk mail since I have done this.
