Where does name Robina- stem from????

My G G G G Grandmother is Robina Shiells, but she was born Alison Shiells. Is Robina short for something, as i have not actually heard of this name before, and can't see similarities with Alison and Robina. Just wanted some advice.

a girl at school was always known as Bina, but she was one of twins, her twin brother was Robin and she was Robina.
