I had some difficulty entering my tree when I first joined and I couldnt delete people who were in the wrong place. It was something to do with people being linked to other people in my tree. It all got very confusing. So I clicked on contact us on the left hand side of the screen here and explained the problem and they made some suggestions which didn't work so I got back to them and they sorted the problem for me but it did mean that they had to delete a couple of other people on my tree who were in the right place. It only took about 10 mins for me to put them back tho. Problem solved

Gill It seems that you have only five people in your tree, so unless you can sort the problem easily it would be simpler to delete you tree and start again. Then with yourself only in your tree, enter your partner. Then enter your daughter, add her to your partner (assuming he is the father) which will automatically put the correct surname in. Then enter your father, going from your entry and clicking on "Add father"). Then add your mother, going from your father's entry and clicking on "Add partner". And so on.

You have to really concentrate to get them right. I had to edit a mistake in the end because I had too many relatives attached. If you haven't got that many it might just be easier to delete all and start again.
