You could try the London Gazette - all military awards were listed there, and there is a site where you enter the name and the particular war (i.e. WW1 WWII etc) and then you can search. Worth a try even though it is time consuming. Jacqui

Hi Vic,go to www(.)regiments(.)org remove brackets, and that will take you to a page where they list special medals and where they are held and who recieved them.In fact there are several military links sites that will do the same. Good Luck, Elaine

I have found a photo of a vicar/priest amongst my late mothers possesions, my elderly aunt (who is now suffering from cancer) is convinced that he is a family member, but cannot remember exactly who. on the photo he is wearing the MILITARY CROSS. I understand that there were 37,000 of these issued, but if I can narrow it down a little and with some guesswork there may be a sligt chance. does anyone know where I can find a list of people that were awarded the medal.
