Just to say, don't be alarmed if you cannot find relevant info from Church records on LDS. They are still applying for access to some records in outlying parishes. One such application was reported in our Shropshire Star newspaper not so long ago. Sandra

This is Vital Records Index. It consists of records from Churches indexed by the Church of the Latter Day Saints (LDS for short - the Mormons). As far as I know they are supplementary to what is on their IGI (International Genealogical Index) which appears in their Family Search website. For the British Isles, I understand the information can be bought for £22.95 by phoning 08700 10 20 51. However, I haven't yet bought it, so i don't know how helpful it is. Stan
