I found this on - http://www.port.nmm.ac.uk/research/c4.html Sources This guide lists places which, like the National Maritime Museum, have records and information that will help you research various aspects of mercantile history: merchant ships and shipping companies merchant navy officers and seamen merchant navy activities in the First and Second World Wars. National Archives of Scotland General Register House Edinburgh EH1 3YY Tel: +44 (0)131 535 1314 E-mail: [email protected] As above but specifically for Scotland You could also try - http://www.mna.org.uk/ Good luck Regards Margaret

Can anyone tell me of any good sites for information on the Merchant navy in Aberdeen from 1850-1920. Two of my relations were sea captains at this time and I would like to find out more about them . Thanks
