Hi Di! So we're not related then!!! Our rellie is still very much current and living in Australia! I really hope you have luck tracking yours down! That site sounds promising, so happy hunting! Eleanor xx

Thanks Kathleen. I'll try that one too. I was thinking maybe this relative had a stage name, eg Caruso???

Di There are quite a lot of opera sites, this one lists names and there is one Eva Gardner Coleman - sang at the Maine Music Festival. There are also some photographs. Looks like you could spend quite a lot of time searching this site. www(.)geocities(.)com/Vienna/Strasse/3468

Eleanor, I don't really have any idea. Pre 1900 I should imagine. A first cousin who I've just found after 50+ years mentioned an Irish connection, which I'd heard before and an opera singer, which I hadn't, but no name or time period was mentioned. He/she could be a Coleman or an Attfield or who knows, since they could be a descendant of a female rellie!! Just thought I'd have a look for the names I do know, if I can find anywhere to look. I've been given one idea so I'll try that. If you find any more sites please pass them on. Good luck in your search. Di.

It's just been mentioned to me by a relative that she had heard there was an opera singer somewhere in our family tree. Seems highly unlikely if you hear me sing, but does anyone know if there is a web site re this subject, as there apparently is for actors. Di.
