I have just found relatives who were killed in action in the 1st and 2nd world wars!! One uncle, Alfred John Boom was missing, presumed dead, and my grandparents died never finding out the truth that he had actually been killed in 1918. The web site is www(.)cwgc(.)org It gives names and addresses of casulty's parents too You never know what you'll find there Aileen

I have used this site before- but have never got the next of kins address. Is it usual that you do? Or am I looking in the wrong place? :-)

Hi again, My relative's address (house no. and road) was on the site along with his parents' full names. Maybe some entries have the info and others don't. Aileen

Oh, thanks for this. I just found 2 of my great-uncles. I knew they had both died in the War but didn't know their birth or death dates so this has helped tremendously. It is also really nice to know where they are buried, both in England and not too far away either, thanks again.

Hello everyone ,if you click on the name it will take you to another screen which may give you next of kin details (if they had them) and details of the cemetery/memorial.I have found next of kin in about half of the cases when I last looked. Good Luck. Penny

I have just used GC link to this site and it worked without any problems. The information given is dependand on what is available. My uncle, killed in WW1 has no details of next of kin, nor his age (he was 20). My father has his parents names (wrong father's name) and 'Husband of ......' no address just the area. His brother has only 'Husband of....). Others I have found have next of kin and full address. There is an e-mail address for queries and I have found them most helpful. Kathleen

This website includes information obtained (I believe) from Veterans Affairs Canada website. My mum's cousin is listed on that website. I added my mum's cousin's personal information a year or two ago. I believe that's why some names have information and some don't -- the more the family includes, the more information is displayed.

My g uncle died in WW2. I put a search in on the cwgc site and, using the information I have, have narrowed it down to 2 possibles. How can I find out which is the right one? Jeanette

Brill site,I found my G.Uncle killed in WW1,where he's buried, the regiment he was in which has led me to putting his memorial on THE REGIMENTAL WARPATH site and contacting the relevant military musuem who are sending me a copy of the regimental war diary which mentions him. Also his eptitaph gave me my G.Grandparents address and the fact that my G.Grandfathers rank and regiment and am awaiting details from that military musuem. All the info I had was a name and killed in WW1. So sometimes miracles do happen!!. Elaine
