Ther are still many members of the Storr family living in Whitby. However, if any one is interested I have a copy of 'Victorian Whitby' through the camera lens of Frank Meadows Sutcliffe 1853 to 1941 - it shows 135 high quality photographs, which include people, seascapes and rural scenes around the Whitby area.I live in Whitby and if I can be of any help to anyone searching Whitby and district ancestors please let me know.

Hi. I have a copy of a large photograph taken by the Portrait Photographer Frank Sutcliff. It is of a fisherman Tom Storr who looks to be in his sixties. But (a) I'm useless at guessing ages and (b) because of his profession I could be more than 10 years out so am guessing at a birth around 1815-1830. He is holding his great-nephew. John Robert Storr who looks to be under 4 certainly he is still in petticoats but can't remember when boys were breeched. So his birth must have been around 1880. They must have come from or around Whitby Yorks as that is where Sutcliff worked it was taken in 1884 and is about 12x9. If you do have a connection to these ancestors I would be more than willing to post it on to you. Suggest you e-mail me direct as can't be sure when I,ll next be able to access GC. Anyone who reads this can they give it a nudge so as it can be seen, thanks Lynn.
