thank you for your help its on parchment or similar and they have a wax seal i'll have to read it again to work out where the address is as its quiete long winded lou

Why not talk to the relevant County Record Office to see if they have any more info. They may be able to point you in the right direction. Maz. XX

Hi Louise Depending on the age of the document there may or may not be a specific address. It may just say something like land and messuages in a vague location which might not be particularly easy to trace without a plan. Is it a typed paper document or handwritten on folded vellum/parchment ? Does it have blue Revenue seals and wax seals with signatures? Sue

Hello - why don't you post some of the "vague" details on here and someone might recognise the address - there must be an address of some sort on the document - give it a try and see what comes up. Failing that, the Land Registry might be able to help you (depending on how old the document is). Jacqui

i have an old property deed which was in my grans personal bits and pieces where would i go to find out more about it i know her family used to own property in the same town but not sure if this is the same place or even whereit is as its quite vague lou
