I have a thread for Georges christening 1840 parents James & Hannah but have no details of them. Can anyone help with ages of James & Hannah or other links to Georges past.. Thanks Marie |

Hi, Look for the parents' marriage in the parish records of the church where the child was christened. Often you find the marriage there. Gwynne |

Hi Marie A search on the IGI came up with a James, Christened 7 October 1838 at St Leonards, Shoreditch - age at Christening 3 yrs - parents James and Hannah. So I worked backwards from 1835 and found this marriage: James Longhurst m. Hannah Hatley, 16 July 1832 at Old Church, St Pancras. Should hopefully set you on the trail .... Sue |
