I have a thread for Georges christening 1840 parents James & Hannah but have no details of them. Can anyone help with ages of James & Hannah or other links to Georges past.. Thanks Marie

Hi, Look for the parents' marriage in the parish records of the church where the child was christened. Often you find the marriage there. Gwynne

Hi Marie A search on the IGI came up with a James, Christened 7 October 1838 at St Leonards, Shoreditch - age at Christening 3 yrs - parents James and Hannah. So I worked backwards from 1835 and found this marriage: James Longhurst m. Hannah Hatley, 16 July 1832 at Old Church, St Pancras. Should hopefully set you on the trail .... Sue
