Can't find the parents birth details

I am at a loose end with a Hugh Bratchie. According to another source, he is listed in the 1881 Census as having been born in Wigan in 1836/7 (although I cant find him on Ancestry). I have found his marriage details on ScotlandsPeople - married on 31st Dec 1860. His parents are listed as David Bratchie (deceased) and Jane Taylor ... but cant find them listed anywhere on Scotlands People. Perhaps they were married in Wigan? But every search I do throws up nothing. Does anyone have census details for Wigan or anything else that might help? Debbie |

Hi Rosemary Thanks for looking. Yes, I have those details but cant find the parents anywhere - births, marriage or deaths. It is totally baffling! Debbie |
