I'm with Helen Smith on this one - I bought lots of A4 pocketed files from Wilkinsons........... and all my info is in a wooden box, several notebooks, some old college files and on top of the washing machine at the moment. If I didn't spend so much time reading this board I might get around to sorting it all out! Does anyone else spend quiet times at work looking longingly through office furniture catalogues at fireproof filing cabinets? |

I had to expand yesterday from one file to three - one each for my parent's sides and one for the relatively undiscovered hubby's family. I divide the folders up by generation with A4 extra wide dividers, with siblings, etc following on in subsections of each main section. At the front I have my parents and I work backwards so i'ts easy to find everyone. I also have a roughly drawn family tree for instant access! |
