My great grandmother appears in the IGI with a certain birth date and location, and other clues back this up as being genuine (name and occupation of father from her MC, father's MC, siblings as witnesses at her marriage), but her birth certificate does not come up on the Scottishpeople site. Is it possible to get the birth certificate by using the "batch/film" and "serial/sheet" number from the IGI? Any help gratefully received. The year of birth is 1865. Phil
