Same family in the 1871 census:-

PAINE, Christiana Wife F 34 1837 Northamptonshire
PAINE, Alfred Son M 13 1858 Northamptonshire
PAINE, Arthur Son M 11 1860 Northamptonshire
PAINE, William Son M 7 1864 Northamptonshire
PAINE, Mary A Daughter F 4 1867 Northamptonshire
BRANSTONE, William Lodger M 70 1801 Northamptonshire

Address:
Wright's Yard, Lower Heyford

Piece: 1489

(I wonder if the lodger is Christiana's father and the surname should be Braunston).

The original thread is dated 2003?

They may not be checking it still?

I think this is probably the parent's marriage (although the name is spelt differently):-

Quarter of Registration: Apr-May-Jun
Spouse's last name: Not available before 1912

Also on the page is Christiana Braunston.

Does anyone have access to the 1861 census of Northampton please? My ggrandfather, Arthur PAYNE, was born in Harpole in 1859 so would be aged 2 on the census. His father was George PAYNE but I do not know the name of his mother. On Arthur's marriage certificate (1882), George is described as a Hawker. On the 1881 census I have noticed that there is a George Payne listed in Wellingborough - but I don't know if he is 'my' George Payne! His wife was called Christian and this George Payne is a Coal Dealer...
