Hi Linda Sorry its taken so long to get back to you. Ive had so much trouble trying to get on here. when i do get on here things are so slow... Thanks, Sarah! I'm not sure what information you need... but please could you have a look for Ethelinda FREEMAN born c.1863 in Walthamstow, Essex. Her father was John FREEMAN. I'm also looking for Ethelinda's husband: Frederick George BERRETT born c.1863 in Deptford, Kent. He was the son of James BERRETT born c.1831 in Wootton Rivers, Wiltshire.

Hi You dont know until you ask!!! VRI stands for Vital Records Index. It can be brought on disc from the Church of the Later-Day-Saints. It covers birth ,christening and Marriage records from 1530-1906 in England,Ireland,Scotland and Wales. Its only a partial collection, so it does not mean that you will find what you are looking for. I have the VRI 2nd edition. If you need a look up just let me know. Sarah

I afraid I'm going to show my ignorance! Please can someone give me an idiots guide to the VRI Index? What is it... what information can it provide... and what information is needed in order to do a look-up? Thanks!
