I just recieved my grandads birth cert(charles Horton) & now know his mothers maiden name was Mabel Collins. Looked their marriage up on free bmd & the only Mabel Collins in the Edmonton area was married to a Jonathan Thomas Horton. (her husband was Thomas Horton) Am I right in believing that iv'e got the right marriage & that Thomas was his second name that he was known as? elaine x

My sister was christened Lindsay Jayne but has been known as Jayne since the day she was born. That was until she decided at 16 she wanted to be known as Lindsay. This becomes very confusing when someone who's known her all her life talks to someone who's only known her a few years. Mind you, she always has been awkward! Jeanette:-)
