Does anyone have access to the 1851 census for Stamford in Lincolnshire. My 3 x great grandfather Thomas NEWEY was in Stamford Baron in 1851. This is classed as Northamptonshire. I think the river is the border. His wife and some of his children are not with him. I wondered if they could be staying with relatives in another part of Stamford, the part that is in Lincs. Her name was Ann NEWEY age 44 to 50, William NEWEY age 24, Fanny NEWEY age 21, John NEWEY age 7. William married in the 1st Qtr 1851 in Stamford, so they could be with him and his new wife Louisa. All ages are approx.

Elizabeth I was suprised to see this thread again. Yes thank you, I have. Someone managed to find them in an index and I contacted Lincs archives and got print outs for just over £3 for 2 pages to include postage, not bad. Margaret
