Thanks for help so far, What we think we know : Jackies dad died when she was one. Mother also dead. Father Herbert Powell, born 01/04/1902 Had older brother Frederick Baden Powell. Found one registered Mar qtr 1901. Had brother Cecil (possibly niddle name Joseph) found one registered June qtr 1904. Died as a baby or young boy. also Gladys & Ernest born after ? Parents Bert & Annie could be number of possibles eg Albert, Herbert, Ann etc. Kids found registerd in Basford, Nottinghamshire.. Have I lost you yet. Any info would be great. Sally & Jackie

According to FreeBMD Basford covers the following areas: Annesley, Arnold, Awsworth, Barton in Fabis, Basford (1837-99), Beeston, Bestwood Park (from 1877), Bilborough, Bradmore, Brinsley, Bulwell (1837-99), Bunny, Burton Joyce, Calverton, Carlton, Clifton with Glapton, Colwick, Cossall, Eastwood, Felley, Gamston, Gedling, Gotham, Greasley, Hucknall Torkard, Kimberley, Kirkby in Ashfield, Lambley, Linby, Newstead, North Wilford (1837-99), Nuthall, Papplewick, Ruddington, Selston, South Wilford, Standard Hill (1862-80), Stoke Bardolph, Strelley, Thrumpton, Trowell, West Bridgford, Wollaton, Woodborough. I have several ancestors from that area on the Notts /Derbyshire border HTH Julie Tebb

Sally parts of Derbyshire are registered in Basford (according to FreeBMD) ...if you enter Derby* in the Keyword box, a 5 month old Fred Powell comes up. a possibility? Sue Surrey

Trying to find Frederick Baden POWELL, born in Basford, Nottinghamshire. Registered Mar qtr 1901. On 1901 census, what else could Basford be under ??? Sally Trying to impress friend and it's not working !!!
