His name is SAMUEL DOLTON. He was born in either BRIXTON or YEALMPTON, PLYMOUTH in DEVON. in approx 1828 - 1830. in 1851 he is 21yrs and is listed as 'NEPHEW' of William Greep and Sarah Greep (formerly Willmott) aged 34 and 35 respectively. in 1881 he is 53yrs and is listed as 'NEPHEW' of Elizabeth Ramdsden (ramsden?) ages 83. in 1901 he is 63 and I don't know who he is living with as my PC won't let me acess the page for some reason! Could someone please tell me where he is in 1861 or 1871? Or how I can find out who he is? Thank you all so much for your continued help! -Kat

Hi, Yes looks like the 1901 is not him...I thought it strange about the age but I have had definite matches who'se age has been transcribed wrongly and as I couldn't view the page I thought it safer not to discount him! I didn't lie to second guess the census people as to whether he was the husbands nephew or the wife's nephew, because the system has so many rules that were 'open to interpretation!' I have never come across anyone listed as 'wifes nephew' - even when it is obvious that they are (eg: wife's brothers son so has wifes maiden name) Thank you for trying to help - and thanks for checking the 1901 census for me! It is greatly appreciated. -Kat

Hi Elton, Samuel Dolton was born in either Brixton, Devon or Yealmpton, Devon...both are listed. William Greep was born in Newton Ferrers Devon, and Elizabeth Ramsden was born in Yealmpton, Devon. Trouble is that it's all plymouth - on the mothers side and the fathers! Many Thanks, -Kat
