Hello Judith, Thankyou for all your help with the Critchley Newlands. I'll arrange to go to the Liverpool Record office to have a look at the fiches. Could I trouble you to have a look for someone else? If you haven't got time, I'll understand. I'm looking for John, age about 35 and Margaret, age about 35, Hetherington and any children they may have. They were married in Everton so could still be there in 1891 or, if not, should be somewhere else in Liverpool. Thanks again, Lilian

Hi Judith. The folio numbers would be very useful because I could look them up in my local Records Office in Liverpool. If their fiche is illegible, I could try the LDS who may be able to get a better copy. Many thanks, Lilian

Sorry no luck with Arthur, so tried Isabella Newland, There was one who was living Lytham St Annes, age 29, born in Bangor housemaid, living in service. Then there is another Isabella age 31,sngle born and living in Buntingford Herts, single, living at home, but there is a 5 month old grandaughter of the house listed and Isabella is the only child living there, so assume ther child is hers. Hi Linda, I don't think he is my Arthur Newlands. He is too old. I think his mother was Isabella but his father was not named on his birth cert. He was called Arthur Newland on his birth cert. but Arthur Critchley Newland on his marriage cert. It's a bit of a mystery! He married in Liverpool, so he may have been there in 1891, although there was a rumour that his mother came from Bangor, Wales. If you can understand all this, I would be grateful if you could have another look. Thanks for your help, Lilian
