Thanks Lucy they all sound very promising, will see if i can make them fit! Patricia have just had a look on 1837 and the only Ellen Marsh for 1906 were born: Jan qtr - Burnley Apr qtr - Westanton June qtr - cantebury Oct qtr - Shepton and one in leicester dont be dismayed I couldnt find my nan or her brothers and sisters on there and they say they are complet! I got the certificate through the BMD

Thomas Bona, son, sing, 16, apprentice at printing machine works, Otley Mary Ann Bona, daur, 14, Otley Eliza Bona, daur, 12, Otley James Bona, son, 10, worsted spinner, Otley John Bona, son, 6, (worsted spinner crossed out in pencil) Otley Frank Bona, son, 4, scholar, Otley Dennis Bona, son, 2, Otley Hope it helps! Hi Vicky, On the 1891 census there is a John Bona 6 yrs Otley - you'll be pleased to know his father is Thomas (a new name for you!!) Would you like full details? Emma.

thanks jeannette, I have that one, i do believe its him but i need to find the marriage so i can trace his dad theyre all called John and its driving me crazy, been on the 1837 but cant find the marriage between him and Sarah, trawled through every year and qtr up to and after their sons birth (1912) oh well will have to keep trying, could there be another way?

Found this on Yorkshire bmd Birth John Bona 1884 Sub District: Otley Registers at: Leeds Reference OTLE/39/244 Only marriage I could find was for a James E Bona in 1901 but its not fully transcribed yet Jeanette

I'm lookin for a marriage, birth, anything really on a John Bona married Sarah Emma Eshelby I know they had a son John Alfred Bona born 1912. I need a solid lead on their marriage to go any further back. (Can then send for birth cert) any help would be much appreciated. It will go one of 2 ways Italian (my sons are well pleased) or Irish Gypsie vicky
