Hi Bernard, You can either apply at the relevant registrar office if you have the details. Or you can order online through 1837 online. Laurie

If within the uk you can do this online. You need all the details such as qtr, district, vol and page number of registration and then go to the following website: http://www(.)col(.)statistics(.)gov(.)uk/ remove the brackets 1837 online has a link to the above page you cannot actually order certs from 1837 but it does give you all the info you need to order a cert. Online is very easy each cert costs £7.00 but make sure you definitely have the correct details otherwise get charged £3.00 for the search alternatively you can order via phone or snail mail: Births, marriages and deaths registered in England and Wales General Register Office Smedley Hydro Trafalgar Road Southport PR8 2HH You can telephone us on - +44 (0)870 243 7788 Mondays to Fridays - 8.00am - 8.00pm Saturdays - 9.00am - 4.00pm You can fax us on - +44 (0)1704 550013
