For those with Irish Connections, and others believe it or not, this MIGHT help in some research. Quick history lesson - September 28th 1912 saw the signing, by nearly 500,000 people of the Ulster Covenant as a protest against the Home Rule Bill - End of History lesson. The PRO in Belfast has now has this on line, and it can make a possible tool for finding where people where on that date, and in a lot of cases where they lived. Type in "Ulster Covenant" on your Search Engine, and it should lead you to it. It is better if you have a birthplace, even better if you have a signature of the person in question as you can compare them by viewing the original document. I have been able track down a few people by using it. Be careful about saving though, sometimes they come out in a chequered pattern. Just thought I would add total and utter confusion to Irish research. Paul UPDATE!! I have just learned that PRONI is to bring on line Freeholders Lists up to about 1840. The information page is already up and running Paul |

Hi just type PRONI into google search, but its literally only the Ulster covenant and Freeholders on line. I think I saw somewhere that they are going to put their catalogue on line......when though ? Teresa |
