Hi, There are no adoptio records on line. They are held at the PRO. There were no "official" adoptions before 1928 (I think - 1920 something anyway). The first thing to do is to see if you can find out his birthname. Hope this helps, Gwynne

I don't think there is a web site. How do you know that he was known by a different name. Did he tell you ? or has you found out in research. Sally

Can someone please tell me which website has Adoption Records for Wales? I think my father was adopted and I'm trying to find out when. His name at birth was David Ronald Evans and then he became David Ronald Davies. He was born in Pontypridd in November 1917. I would be grateful for any information.
