I found the same information on the freebmd site vol 9c page 665 I think its best to check that site out first which dosnt cost anything. Debbie

Hi, thanks to you all for your help. I am sure she was from Wakefield, but should I request the cert from Sheffield is there a way that I can tell them her exact date of birth and if it doesnt match up will they issue it still and charge me? Liz

It is cheaper from the Register Office £7 as opposed to £11 from ONS. Find the register office you need here http://www.genuki(.)org(.)uk/big/eng/RegOffice/ leave out the brackets ()

If you send to the actual register office and give exact date of birth, they will return your money if it is wrong. I had one returned with my payment, for a marriage where the name of the bride didnt match
