Liver collier Machinist

According to the 1901 my GG Aunt was a liver collier machinist!!! I've got the page and the transcriber did a better job than I could - anyone got any guesses as to what she might have been really doing?? Zoe

Could it perhaps have meant Linen Collar Machinist my mind is doing somesaults trying to imagine what else it could mean. Gen

Gen must be short for gen-ius I was going cross-eyed with that one. Never again will I moan about poor transcriptions Zoe
