Helen Just put the name into the box and click search! Sorry :) From the A2A home page click on search at the top. When the search boxes come up put your name in the top box. BUT you must put the surname first. You can select which archives to search or just search them all. When the results page comes up - if its found anything - there will be a short list of names to click to find out what records are available for each. Note two things: 1. It is only a catalogue of archive holdings - you need to contact the actual archive to get the copy of the document. 2. It is not yet complete. Some archives have put a lot more in than others so far. Good luck Anne

Yep. Love A2A, its my favourite site. I have found endlessly useful info re my family and in one case, a newspaper cutting of a wedding, the details of which I had been trying to find for 5 years!

I can recommend a2a. I found a reference which led me to info in a record office giving my gt gt grandfather's settlement dispute details. It told me his father in laws name, his daughter's names, where he lived, how much rent he paid, etc. http://www.a2a.org.uk/ You can search for a place or person or organisation, and specify which archive you want to search as well. nell

Also try A2A which give cataloue entries for many of the items held by the archives. Its fully searchable and even the breif details give some great info. Anne
